The units looking directly on the beach are all now privately owned. But three buildings in is the Mandalay Shores Resort. (805) 984-5356. The street address is 5226 Neptune Square Oxnard, CA 93035 if you want to google the area. Colonial/Cape Cod style condos.

I'm not sure what HB Shorebreak is like, but Oxnard Shores would be a very quiet area that might be conducive to "private conversation" and still steps from the beach. I walked into the clubhouse and was impressed with how well that was kept. You could still drive 45 minutes back south to Geoffrey's, or check out some of the more local cuisine like California Grill in Camarillo.

TJ is romantic, if your idea of romance is hookers, dealers and getting kidnapped! Wear something nice so they can identify the bodies by your clothes.
