I've had this DSLR for about 18 months and probably took less than 3000 pictures with it (typical shutter life is at least 100,000 snaps). I'm very particular with my "toys" and have taken very good care of this camera, it looks new! I have all the original documentation, including the box. It comes with DVDs to teach you how to use the camera and take great photos. If you're looking to get started in photography this is perfect for you. It's small and light weight.
