Progman 24.02 Good... Bad... Indifferent??
So... after bringing my car back in for HPFP replacement surgery... the second time in 3 weeks of ownership....
I finally asked what Progman version I have, and it turns out it is 24.02 and the SA also gave me this number E89x-06-12-510?? Since I have seen reference to numbers much higher than that in these forums like 31.xx I am wondering if I should ask for the update, or leave well enough alone at 24.02. Any advice is appreciated. Also still considering JB+ or JB3 my biggest concern being warranty preservation. So I am leaning towards JB+. Lastly I am wondering if any one Long Island has Bavarian Technic Cable or maybe wants to do a group buy on one? Thanks |

i'd suggest you keep that version of the progman. any updated version w/o the conversion fix will get your car laggy. just wondering, how would they be able to change your fuel pump w/o updating your software anyway? i believe it is a MUST to have software updated when replacing the HPFP, i could be wrong though.

Sorry for the delay in getting back to this I was traveling the past few days for business.
My SA said that he would only upgrade the Progman if there was a call for it when he plugged into the car. Since there was no call for it, he would not update it. The car seems to run much better now that the Low Pressure Fuel Sensor, and High Pressure Fuel Pump have been replaced. I have also discovered the joy of the sport mode for the Steptronic... I didn't realize how big the difference would be. |
