BMW assist stop working
Just discovered this feature did not work today and schedule for appointment next week to have the dealer check it out. All other functions work on the idrive but not the BMW assist, is any one experienced the same problem ?

Yeah, I had this happen and noticed just as I got a flat tire over the summer with the wonderfil RFT's from Bridgestone that are always on emerency backorder. It turned out to be the entire TCU had to be replaced and such. I believe it was like a $3K repair and thank god for the warranty.

Cobradac,
That is great info mine date code was 01/06 and just got the software upgrade about a month ago and it happened on FRiday when my wife was on the way to work and it gave her an error message on dash board, please contact your BMW service. Schedule to drop off the car on Tuesday and hopefully they can reset the TCU. Thanks

Re not being able to locate your car, if that happened once, it's a fluke. If it happens more than 2x, you need to have the car looked at. It is possible that, if you pressed the SOS button from a garage or someplace where it clearly couldn't fix your position, that is why they didn't have it. But if you were on a street, it should be locatable.
