Hi Everyone,

I have decided to close Speed Religion and concentrate on the racing aspects that we are involved in with immediate effect.

Speed Religion has encountered numerous difficulties recently and when this lead to our customer service levels dropping, we lost a major key part of our business ethos.

I started Speed Religion to offer some of my knowledge and technical experience back to the BMW community and as businesses grow, they also change. Speed Religion changed from the online discounted parts supply service it was started as and our premises and fitting centre became the main focus. The time came when this consumed a greater amount of time for not enough reward and when this was coupled with our major web issues with still not having our website live - 12 months late and premises problems recently; I finally decided to close the business.

I would like to say a very warm 'Thank You' to all that dealt with us and wish you all the best in the future.

On behalf of the forum, I would like to publicly thank you for your efforts and support to our community. It is a shame that you feel you are unable to continue with Speed Religion under its original auspices, but as we discussed on the telephone the wider picture in terms of a viable business is always of paramount concern.

I wish you all the best in your racing ventures, and trust that despite there not being Speed Religion, you maintain your presence on the forum as a valued member of our community

Wow.

Some of the deals you offered such as on the performance braking setup, I hope can still be available from time to time? As they were excellent deals.

I am sorry to hear about your 'loss' Ant. One thing I guess many of us should be a little ashamed of is that we all kinda 'ribbed' SR over the past few months in various threads and then when you now realise there was a person behind it all, its harsh.

Course, if he still has a racing team, I dont feel too sorry for the bstard haha!!!!

Oddly enough, I would be in for the Brakes...

Do we feel another underground group buy coming on?

Somehow this news doesnt surprise me - it has been on the cards for a while now. That said i personally wish Ant all the very best in the next business venture.

Sorry to hear the Ant, There obviously is a market out there.

Sounds like you need someone to back a separate commercial part to the business that can take your product development and deal with the supply and fitting, you never know we may see a pheonix
