I don't class this as a insult, the time is a fundamental point of the argument and when you can't even get that right then what chance has anyone got of reasoning with you.

The 7:38 is a definite, of that be in no doubt. As for the rumour of him saying that he could improve on this, well I honestly don't know anything about that but I do believe that this time is only the start and either SA or someone else will come closer to Suzuki's time.

Exactly, it's a rumor, and it's being used on your side as part of your argument.

I only deal in facts. It's easier.

What I find funny is that the argument a lot of GTR fanboys are using is "AWD" and "Suspension" tweaks, but the "Ring" is more of a power oriented track!

In independent test, the GTR straight line speed pales in comparison to cars like the ZR1 and GT2 and 599. Yet Nissan would have you believe that the GTR compares (only when they drive it of course).

Nissan; Engineering cars one press release at a time.

Newsong,

Your argument is starting to be silly and cast you as a single minded ostrich with his head stuck in the sand.

The 7:38 time is a real time Horst achieved, as for the rumoured comments about being able to improve, this is not something I have commented on or used as part of my argument. Please stick with the facts if you are insisting that is where your position in this debate is, i.e. dealing in facts.

But it does prove that you won't address the point because it blows your point out of the water.

Checkmate.

With that mindset, I guess the Bugatti should be the RING KING!

Just go back to your troll hole.

Your argument would make more sense if the GTR was lighter than the ZR1, but since it isn't, you make very little sense.

What was that about a hole?

Doesn't change the fact that the ZR1 is dominated by the Bugatti. And since the ring is a 'power oriented track' you would assume the Bugatti would do better.

Did you ever buy a BMW yet?

I guess if you didn't know much about motorsport, you might assume that.

I haven't bought a BMW yet because I'm still trying to save up. There hasn't been much traffic at the fish market lately. This recession is affecting everyone.

The Bugatti costs more than 12 times as much as the little Corvette, has twice the number of cylinders, much more than 2 times the displacement and drives two more wheels. Why are we comparing both?

Oh, it is also a good 10 seconds slower that the GM car around this ring road.

NewSong: I'm with you mate, it should be illegal to offer peasants the right to go very fast.

GTR beat ZR1 in latest Autobild Sportscars: 1:30.95 vs 1:31.14. Is the "Ring" a more of a power oriented track? I am not sure. Coz' i remember the 900hp ccx is not the fastest at the ring.
