But, if you would like to discuss it in depth. With higher intake temps the only other option then less boost would be for temps post IC to be higher, which is obviously bad as well. Either the turbos spool the same, compress the same volume of hot air which will result in either lower boost at the same temperature or the same boost at higher temperature. Or, the turbos spool higher, compress a greater volume of air to counteract the above. The first is bad either way, and the second is bad because the 335s turbos are already heavily spooled and increasing spool for the same variables is obviously not what you want to do. Now obviously a decrease in restriction will allow a great volume of air for the same amount of spool. The question is was this decrease enough to counteract the increase in temps or lower boost from higher temps. For that a non butt dyno is needed. |

O-cha, not trying to put words in your mouth.
I will not start arguing about temperature vs power output on a turbo car. We could dyno the same car 30 days staight and it would never make the exact same power or curve. since all temperature variables from each compenent will affect it. |

Good job! Next step is to fabricate a heat shield under the filters. With the cold air blowing on the filters from the stock snorkle it should be just fine at speed.

thanks for scraping the project together. over all it looks great. the stock snorkel would keep the bay cool enough.
And the spool sound is so much better... the DP's I've heard didnt make it as loud as your filters did. The only thing that would worry me is the boost spikes, which could cause problems.... |

Ya great job! Now if only someone can build a proper housing so they will pull cold air, and you'd have a winning product!

yeah but the filters look bigger and don't look like they rub like the BMS set up does
