2006 330xi Lease Ending

Hello everyone,

I have a 2006 330xi and am currently at approximately 49,500 miles with 85 days left on the lease, which means I will be 20k over. I am considering purchasing the car prior to reaching 50,000 miles; I would like to have it CPO'd and get the extended maintenance on the car. The residual is approximately $25,800.

I am just wondering if any of you guys have had any success in negotiating the residual and the warranty and maintenance....I have called a few dealerships, and they are trying to get me into a new lease, while others said they could do it for like 31000, which seems like way too much....

What do you guys think are my options right now????

Thanks in advance...

I am pretty sure that because I am so close to lease end that I can no longer buy the miles at .16 instead of .20....

I actually went to another dealer yesterday, and he mentioned that normally they can do the certification for the residual, but in my case it may be a little higher because of the mileage.....he is gonna run some numbers and contact me tomorrow, but overall that seems like it is gonna be waaay better than 31k...

the certified 06's on the lot with less mileage than mine are around 28k........

I'd pay the $4000 for milage and walk away. Otherwise you are always going to be upside down in the loan. 28k is the advertised price for those 330's on the lot. No one is paying that.....would you? Pay the 4 grand for milage and get a new lease and be driving a new car.....or CPO your car and buy it out and be paying about the same but be driving a car with 50,000 miles. If you got it CPO and bought it all for say even $28 to $29 k ...in 18 months into the loan and your ODO at 70k miles you will be so backwards in your loan.

No easy way out.

I remember Sal (Autocouture on here) saying in some thread that Bmw is willing to negotiate on Residuals during the last couple months of the lease. Contact him and maybe he can help u out. If you can't buy it for market price just take the 4,000 hit. However you couldve saved yourelf around $800 buying extra mileage earlier.

+1 on take the $4K hit.. $31K for a 2006 is way too much!
