Question about TPMS
I have TPMS on my 18" RFTs and just ordered new tires for the rears........
I was told by someone at America's Tire Co. that it cost 15 bucks extra per tire to replace the plastic piece on the TPMS when installing new tires. He said that piece cannot be reused, not sure what he's talking about...... Is there any truth to this? Can't we reuse all the OEM components of a TPMS on the new tires? TIA

You should be able to transfer the TPMS from the stock wheels, not sure why you would need to purchase new parts unless they were damaged for some reason.

Often the rubber seal on the TPMS will wear out
If that is the case, you will need to get a new valve stem portion It's common for it to go bad |

How much is the valve stem portion? And that can be replaced by America's Tire Co.? Or any reputable tire shop?
TIA
