Thinking of this winter tire+rim combination
I think I'm in the same boat as a few people, I'm a little in the dark about what tires + rims I'm gonna put on my car for the winter. I've got a 325i with sport package so 17" rims, but I believe 16"s will still fit, is this correct?
I'm thinking of going with 16"s for price and also because a taller sidewall is supposed to be better for winter driving. So I came across these replica 7-series wheels which I think would look decent enough: http://www.tiretrends.com/wheel_cata...p3?wheelID=597 And then I could put on the Dunlop M3 DSST (runflat) tires: http://www.tiretrends.com/catalog2.php3?tireID=531 And that comes out to a pretty respectible $1700 Canadian, taxes and shipping included. However, I'd like to know for sure that those 7-series replicas will fit. I'd like to hear from other people as to what their winter tire+rim intentions are. Getting a bit of a list of working combinations together will be helpful for several people I'm sure. My parents just bought a new 325 as well and I get a call about every week from my father asking if I figured out what I'm gonna do for the winter yet. ![]() -Tim |
