Spots on paint

I have alot of trees in my area and my car seems to get a lot of little spots on the paint that do not come off after I wash. Anyone have any recommendations.

Do some searches on waxing, polishing & sealing the car. If you can't avoid parking where you are going to get sap, etc. on your car- the best thing you can do is make sure the paint is properly sealed. This way your paint will be protected.

Make sure you strip the car of wax & buff out marks, sap, etc. before waxing/ sealing, or you will just seal in the blemishes. If you are not experienced with using compound or polishes, I would highly advise you go to a professional. Also, if your car is a color that shows scratches (like black), you want to be extra careful...

It's tree sap. Wash your car then use put some denatured alcohol on a MF towel and rub it off gently. If the area gets dull, polish it up. Then seal or wax.

I forget who makes it, but there is a product called PrepSolvent--that will get rid of the sap--but it also gets rid of your wax/sealant, so you would need to re-apply the protectant of your choice afterwards.

just spend .99 on a bottle of general rubbing alcohol... this removes all tree sap.

if it rail dust... use clay to remove these spots.

Rubbing alcohol? Really? Wouldn't that be bad for the paint? Or do you just have to re-apply the wax/sealant like I was saying before?

It's not bad for the paint, if you wipe it off. You have to reapply wax or sealant though.
