vanos exhaust?!

i scanned my car today for the engine reducing power, i got an error code and its " vanos exhaust, mechanism " wtf is that, any idea? and its hard to be repaired?
...anyone?

take it to the dealer. either the ex. vanos solenoid has a little bit of dirt in it, or the ex. camshaft ledges are worn.

camshft ledges are becoming more and more an issue with mileage and wear, my buddy just had his replaced last week -- pretty quick fix

I took my car in for the same error code. They had it for 4 days but replaced the camshaft ledgers due to scoring. Haven't had a limp mode since!

I had the same issue, will put software back into my car shortly and see if it fixed the problem.
