CCFL angel eyes for the e9x

I don't know if this has been asked before but search gave me nothing so I thought I might just ask out of curiosity.

How come there was never a version of the CCFL angel eyes that were made for the the older generation bmws such as the e46s for the e9x? I've always liked them and they're really the brightest and most evenly lit rings I've ever seen.

I'm assuming you're referring to only halogen-equipped e90s that are not equipped with AEs from factory?

CCFLs are not known for longevity, LED has surpassed them in just about every way. Also, not everyone wants to bake headlights apart - immediately voiding any type of warranty on the lamps.

I guess its understandable about the warranty. But yeah I was referring to all the headlights, not just the none ae equipped ones. The thing with the LEDs is just that they're so invisible during the daytime, unlike a lot of the CCFLs i've seen on the e46 m3s, which are almost as bright as the HID angels Camaross offers but evenly lit
