Are base 325i e90 owners satified with their wheels?

For those who have the 325i e90 base model, with 16" wheels/tires: are you happy with your wheels? Do you intend on changing your wheels anytime soon? If so what are your reasons for making the change.

Cheers.

I didn't like the 325 sport package rims, so I didn't waste the money on the option. I would rather put some 18' 162's on. I am planning on waiting a few more months for the replica's to start showing up.

I didn't particularly like the 16's that came with the car so I got a set of 162's from bmwwheels.com. I'm glad I made the change...those wheels were just too small for me.

It seems BMW drivers are in a perpetual pursuit of design and quality, hence the constant need to 'upgrade'.

It looks like I'll be trading in my 156s as soon as I take delivery :-). Hopefully, I can find a good deal on 162s or 195s.

For the BMW brand/image being so focused on performance and design, I am rather disappointed with 16" rims. The 16's look too small for the car. The design is OK, but just not enough rim and too much rubber. I think 17's would be the minimum for a standard rim with 18 & 19 options.
I'm not sure I'm changing though... If I could find 162's for around $1500-1800 I would consider the change, but otherwise, just wait for the 335. Hopefully the 335 will have 18 standard.

Petercat, you can get 162s for less than 1500, new, shipped with tires from bmwwheels.com.

I think I may go the same route as you are, do you plan on getting new springs? I've seen some 162s mounted on the bas 325i no-ZSP option and they look a bit high.

I'm looking for the wheel/tire combo...

I've seen a few guys sell them for around that before. Hopefully someone will go aftermarket and I can buy the package for that price...

If bmwwheels.com sells the package for that price, I'll order today.

I do agree that you've gotta drop the car at least an inch. Funny how the sport package gives that "true" BMW look.
