Small Glass ding

So I was taking a highway exit and right when I get off I see this huge rock in the air... I was like WHOAA... and it hit my windshield... pretty hard... and now thers a small 3mm ding with a couple of lines around it. It's pretty weird though cause I wasn't tail gating... the nearest car infront was probably about 100 feet away? and the stone was up, up in the air... kinda like a bird shat... kaboom.

I was just wondering if I should try to get it filled/fixed so when I drive there isnt one of those shiny specs in my eyes or I should get it replaced (going through the insurance hassle). Does anybody know the cost of a front windshield, and then the cost of a front windshield + labor? I don't know if the glass ding will expand so I'm kinda concerned. My longest drives are about 120 miles and I do that maybe 4 times a month... so I don't want to get screwed over while on the road since there arent any BMW centers around where my apt is.
