If its just to try and figure out how your $60-70K stacks up against other BMW owners...then do a search. There are threads about income here already.
Yeah what Matt said, I'm not the OP. I was just giving him some insight towards my situation so he may have somthing to compare to. I wouldn't say I've got it all but I'm not doing bad either.

You know that you should work there awhile before making the purchase...right?

Never get caught in a situation where you think everythings ok only to find out different in a few months.

I wouldn't buy until atleast you have 6 months on the job. You might not like the job or they may not like you. Always have a backup plan. You could just do a simple lease.

Congrats! I hope you enjoy the new job. You can do the math to figure out if a new car would work out for you. I agree that you should wait and make sure your job is secure before buying one.

I agree with many of the other posts, wait a few months to make sure you have a secure position at your job before making a large purchase.

One other piece of advice would be to set up an automatic transfer to your savings/investment account for 3-6 months to make sure you can afford the payment comfortably (car payment + insurance). If you can still cover your usual expenses without touching the money in savings, you are in a good position to buy the car. The money in the savings account can then be used as a nice downpayment (or continue to save it).

I have no intention of making any kind of large purchase, especially a car, until at least 6 months have passed.

Good move, it was hard to tell from your first post, it sounded like you were on your way to the dealer after getting the offer!

Not all women are the number one worst investment, some women, definitely.. but not all!

And I'm unemployed and take delivery of my 335i in January... I just shred the bills instead of paying them...
