GP Thunder H8 12V 35W - Review
Hi there,
One of my OEM H8 lights burnt so I decided to follow E90 post advice and replace them with the next best thing: GP Thunder H8s. I decided to make my car look like a Husky dog with different colored eyes to show you some pics of the results. Night: GP thunder looks amazing. This is OEM: GP Thunder: Day time: This is OEM: GP Thunder: Can't even see it. Light is not potent enough to light the bigger Corona. Needless to say these bulbs give your car beautiful blue eyes at night, but don't even bother trying to spot them during the day, it's almost impossible to see them. I use my Corona's as DRLs, so might be reverting back to the OEM look. Cheers,

I went back to OEM just because I could not see both my GP's and LED's during the day.
It looked glorious at night though

Great write up & review.
These lights have been around for a while and so I think most of us take them for granted and never think about posting a review ....... Thanks! |

What's the advantage of the "double coating"? Does this mean they're brighter and you can see the larger rings during the day now?

GP thunder is probably the beat cheap alternative to OEM, but you cant compare them to LEDs or HIDs. Go with LUX for best brightness and sharpness of rings

Isn't there a mod to make them brighter?

Let me get this straight... You are swapping out parts designed by some of the top engineers in the world because some guys sponsored by a company told you it's "better??" But when you ask the same guy about tracking, "oh no, I have a kid now" or "I just detailed my car." or "i just got new tires."

I bought the "newer" version when one of mine burnt out. It was a bit bluer at first, but then they faded as the old ones did. You can't really complain because they are cheap and look "decent" at night.
