tires performance

Hi

I have a 2006 BMW 330i w/spkg. with 26000 miles on it.

Recently i replaced my tires on the front 225/40 bridgestone potentza 960 pole position and rear has bridgestone potenza 760 sport of 18"" tires.

Can anyone suggest on how it would affect the performance of the car while driving.

Well the pole position series is VERY stiff like a set of bricks. You may notice the front being a bit harsh at times. It "could" be a bit off balance if those rear sports are softer, but I am not very familiar with those.

I had the pole positions once on my old car (350z) and they were pretty brutal but handled fairly well. I switched out to PS2's and HUGE upgrade (FYI) they handle better dry, much better wet, quiter, lighter, smoother, etc. plus they lasted a tad longer.

The RE960A/S pole position is actually softer riding all season tire, unlike an older S03 Pole Position max performance tire which is likely what you're thinking of.

This is a bad mix.

The 960a/s is an all season tire, which has longer wear but a softer ride and less dry grip than the summer only 760 sport. In freezing temps or snow it will be the other way around with the 960 having better grip than the 760. There isn't a situation where these two tires will work well together.

Replace one pair or the other pair to match the more appropriate choice for your driving conditions.
