Titan Line interior trim?
So I was searching Real OEM -- depending on the cost and availability, I'm interested in swapping out my aluminum trim for the piano black stuff.
I haven't found the Piano Black on Real OEM... maybe I'm just not looking enough. However, I did stumble across this. Does anyone know what the "titan line" trim looks like? Looks like it shouldn't cost more then $200 for just the parts (though that doesn't include the center counsel cover and ashtray cover).

piano black might be an individual package. The titan line is interesting, I am not sure what it is either. Good find for a mystery trim
maybe someone will chim in with some color photos.

Trim
Interesting-
I want to swap out all my Poplar (which I special ordered) for Carbon Fiber (or fake CF- which is fine w/ me). I would have done the cf (or similar) had it been available when I ordrered the car. I have the beige interior and the aluminum does not look right with that color, so I went with the wood. That's a neat site, btw! Last edited by urnuts; 11-20-2006 at 07:10 PM.. |

I might be mistaken but I think the TITAN is titanium. This is standard trim outside USA. I memory serves it is plastic and feels cheap although it does look the part. I believe it is standard on less well-equiped models.

the titanium trim look very very similar to the Aluminum. Actually if you put them together to can't really tell them apart. Your shifter, door handles and ring around the start is all titanium.

Piano Black is out there. It appears in the BMW Individual catalog for the E90. If you search realOEM under the E60 you will see a subgroup called 91 INDIVIDUAL EQUIPMENT where these parts are listed. The problem is realOEM is out-of-date (10/2005) and so the Individual program for the E90 may not have started by then. I would visit the dealer and ask them to search their parts database (which is laid out like realOEM) and tell them show you the INDIVIDUAL EQUIPMENT parts subgroup for the E90. Check whether they are Euro parts only. If not then order from any dealer. If they are Euro, then ask your dealer or call JD at CrownBMW and ask him to see if he can get the parts listed for the USA.

Any pictures of the piano black installed? Would be interested in adding that, should look classy with the black leather.

Good luck! I think this would be an excellent mod in the USA especially coming from the BMW Individual catalog.
