headlight colors

1. i want the halo blue like this:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/BMW-D...ayphotohosting

or these

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/BMW-B...%3A1|72%3A1171

but i dont know about the quality of these...does any one have any experience or do any venders have the same color?

2. I like the color of the Xenon light, dont really want to change it

3. DRL/passing light: This is like an off white kinda dirty yellowish weak old looking color....where can i get bulbs that would look just like that of the light in 2.

The LUX 4.0 produces a slight blue color if I'm not mistaken. IMO LUXs are one of the best angel eyes you can get for an e90. I have LUX 5.0 and love them. I don't think the quality from $50 ebay angel eyes will cut it.

Garage List
You can get a better bulb for the flash-to-pass inner lamp / DRL (label 3 in your picture). I think they are H7 bulbs.

the #3 light in Canada, this is called the DRL (day time running light).
I try putting in the brightest H7 bulbs and still getting yellow color result.
the issue is the DRL runs at half the intensity, say if the bulbs is rated @ 55watts, half of that is 25 watts.
so you know how dimm that is, right???

I wonder there is 100 Watts H7 bulbs you can buy?
but, over heating is another problem
hope it answers your question.

sure does...i was wondering the same thing..bc i really have never seen a pure white or blueish color DRL light...that must be why...anyone have a fix....the lighting stickys seem to be lost after i checked it out

as for LUX my understanding is that 4.0 is more blue than 5.0? is there anything more blue than that?
is this a good option?

ill check out some H7 bulbs for the DRL light and see what i can come up w.

if you switch on to high beam then DRL becomes full power.
can we keep high beam on and lower the aim to point at the ground?
so the pattern does not distrib opposite direction drivers.

Nothing beats the reliability and performance of stock bulbs.
