Streets of Willow, Friday July 31

Just throwing this out there in case anyone might be interested. A friend of mine is holding another track day. He's been doing these for about 10 years, and usually limits the car count so that there is plenty of track time for everyone. So this is a great price for the seat time you will be getting.

Instruction is available, though it is not as structured as a BMWCCA event, but it's there for the beginner group, and anyone else that requests it. I've driven this many times (both directions) and will probably be helping out with instruction.

here's the info:

Quote:
The track Date is Friday July 31 , 2009 , * start time is 8:00am - 5pm. this will be on the “STREETS".

The fee for the track day will be ~$145 a car / 45 CAR CAP. ( cost will depend on number of signups)

Please DO NOT send money at this time. Just a reply if you wish to retain
spot(s) on the list. If you have a friend who wants to drive his/her car
please say so on your reply. All makes of cars welcome.
We will be running 3 group system, ˝ hour each run group. I'm trying for lower car count and more track time.

We will run CW in the morning and CC in the afternoon.

All cars welcome , Rag tops must have roll bar (factory roll bar ok )

This is a practice event , we will be doing "hot laps" all day. No timing unless you bring your own. Instructors will be on hand, new drivers welcome, we will have a beginner class before your first session.

Basic tech on your car like at an autocross.

No passenger allowed unless licensed instructor.
any questions or to sign up email me

If it's who I think it is.. let me know, and I might be able to hook up an instructor deal.

5 or 6 30min sessions. What usually ends up happening at his events, is people taper off in the afternoon, so the last couple of hours ends up being completely open, so you end up getting more time then what you are allotted for your group.

I know the beginner group is limited (at least for a few sessions) and there are designated areas for passing in the other groups, like the front and back straights. but it would probably be better to email Patrick for the complete details. I guess I'll send him one tonight.

Passing for this event:

just let them know that passing will be just like we've always done. on the straights and by a hand signal.

Looks like I'll be attending.

Now, Red car or Blue car... we'll see. I'm leaning red just because I hate myself.

send an email to Patrick (see the first post), and he will send you more information. As the date gets closer, he will send out another update on the event details, and a driver list.

update:

Quote:
HI WILLOW DRIVERS

IT IS NOW TIME TO SEND IN YOUR FEE. I NEED TO RECEIVE IT ASAP TO MAKE THIS EVENT HAPPEN

THE ENTRY FEE IS $155. per spot

IF YOU ARE SENDING MONEY IN FOR TWO OR THREE OR MORE SPOTS MAKE THE CHECKS OUT AS NEEDED. BE SURE TO INCLUDE THE NAME(S) OF THE OTHER DRIVER(S).

We don't have very many drivers. So plan on LOTS of open track time. This is also the reason for the cost increase from $145 to $155

If you know someone who would like to drive
please refer them. thanks
