help removing trim.

day off today. so im trying to do the rear fog mod. i cant get the ac vent out worth shit. im sure i broke something and i already scratched the top of the fucking muppet.

please help. how the hell do you get the damn thing out??

the problem area is the side closest to the door. how is it held in? im afraid if i keep monkeying around im going to be looking at a nice bill.

They hold on pretty tight, it's pretty difficult the first time. I find it easier if you stick in a flat head screw driver into the side closer to the door and just pull the screw driver (use a longer one). You can easily insert the screw driver if you just push the dash part down a bit, they are kinda soft. Hope this helps.

i got it. i gave it the old shut the eyes and rip it out.

came right out!

I learned that is usually the best approach with trim (of all kinds)... it either comes out clean or you fuck it up good.
