e90 Mtech rear carbon fiber diffuser swap

I recently acquired a used OEM e90 Mtech rear equipped with an OEM carbon fiber diffuser, but decided to try and swap out the OEM CF diffuser for a 3D Design style replica CF dual diffuser (non-335) from JBSpeed.

The JBSpeed CF diffuser does not come with a mesh grill, but it wasn't too difficult to fabricate something that looked pretty decent... (See also FrankiE90's mod at http://www.e90post.com/forums/showth...ight=frankie90 )

Overall, the fitment of the 3D Design rep CF diffuser is very good. I think the gap on the right hand side may be 1 or 2 mm larger than the left hand side, but it's hardly noticeable.

(Note: The Alpine White color of the used Mtech rear is a little bit off from the rest of the car, but that will be fixed in the near future by having it refinished...)

FYI - The removal of the OEM CF diffuser was an interesting experience, since it involved more than just removing a few screws. I have summarized the above installation at:

How does this work. You just need to send out the oem mtech diffuser for the 3d cf rep diffuser? No need to add cash?
