Active Autowerke Exhaust--how loud/droning issues?
Can anyone who has an Active Autowerke exhaust for the 335i comment on how loud it is, and if there are any droning issues with it at high speeds? What about low rpms, is it very loud?
I'm tinkering with the idea for an exhaust system, and I don't want anything particularly loud......In fact, i was thinking of possibly BMW performance exhaust for that reason.... Any info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

I have sat in one and it has some drone at low rpm. I would go for the AE. They are almost no drone, and the low deep rumble notes are so nice.

We have the AA catback on our 335 and daily drive it. No droning issues even when on the freeway at ~2500 RPMs. We've driven it to Vegas and back (19hrs) and I was able to take a few nice naps in the car

I've got the Active Autowerkes exhaust. Don't listen to anyone who says it drones. Most of the exhaust systems on our cars cause a tiny resonance that affects the rear center console that can be easily fixed. The sound I think is a perfect mix of performance and comfort. I drive on the highway a lot and don't have any issues whatsoever. Just be sure to fix the rear center console theres a DIY for it somewhere.
