Hey CK1129 - If your intested in taking a ride down to CT ( around the New Haven area) i can install the full exhaust for you. I did it on my 325xi a few months back with no problems at all. It took me about an hour do do everything. Hit me up!

Really? I don't think im going to get the SR pipes though, I really can't afford it, and I'm looking to get new shoes for my car so the money can help me out there. What im looking around for is a shop that will cut out my resonator, and repipe it for me. The sound will be the same as the SR pipes, maybe even louder since they do still retain a performance resonator, but performance wise, i will end up keeping my second dummy cats

actually it probalby wont sound the same as the SR pipes. the SR pipes are actually shaped a lot different then then oem pipes, so there is a little difference. You can give it a shot though and see how it sounds.
What you can do for starters, get a piece of pipe that is slightly larger then the stock pipes, or get the same diameter pipes, and have someone flare the end of it so you can just slide the pipe right over the oem one. you can take a saws-all and cut the cats out yourself, put the new pipe over it, and then clamp it down. If it's still leakign at that point you can find a local place and have them weld it. I had a guy down the street from me weld my pipes for like $15 |
