I recently washed the car for the first time with ONR (used to use regular soap) and I had some questions which perhaps some of you guys might know about.

Here were the steps I used:
1. Spray car down with QD-strength (8oz/gal) ONR
2. Wipe/wash car with microfiber saturated with wash-strength ONR (1+oz/gal)
3. Dry car with clean microfiber

Unfortunately it suddenly began raining as soon as I finished washing the car, so no pics.

Thoughts:
"Washing" the car with this method felt just like washing the car with just water, wasn't sure if I was doing it right, though there was some amount of dirt on the microfibers. Car looked clean, and rain beaded up on the finish of the car). The solution did not feel slick (like soap is), but instead felt closer to just water.

Is this the normal way for ONR to feel? It is real convenient not to have to rinse the car but it felt a little like I was just wiping down the car with water. Am I missing something here?

Correct me if I'm wrong but I'm pretty sure the way this works is you pull the dirt off the car with the mitt and as you dip it into the ONR solution the dirt falls to the bottom of the bucket so you're essentially always using a 'clean mit' with 'fresh onr'

I thought you were supposed to use MUCH LESS per gallon - like a capful or two, not 8 ounces!!! Yes? No?

ONR does feel like you're washing with water but it works incredibly well in my opinion.

I mix about an ounce for 2.5 gallons in one bucket and then prepare a second wash mitt rinse bucket with grit guard. I then wash a section at a time then dry with a WW MF towel and move on to the next section.

I like using dreadlock MF mits when doin ONR washes, I feel that it does a better job of keeping dirt away from the paint. But to answer your question, yes ONR doesnt feel slick at all, it just feels like water when u dip your hand in, however it works incredibly well.
