Newbie, which one??
Hello everyone. Ive got the chance to buy either an E90 320d m sport with heated leather,18"wheels,bluetooth,sun glass-the non ed model. Or a 318d m sport 18"wheels auto wipers ed model. Both Dec 07 with the same ish mileage and price.

M sport all the way, auto wipers are nothing special IMO, heated leather is nice and will sell on better.

I would go for the 320D, but then again I am biased.
Get it re-mapped to 210bhp and you should get better economy (only when driven carefully) this will make up for not having ED, maybe. |

320D - bigger engine, similar economy plus it's got leather!

I would have voted for the 318 due to lower road tax and insurance costs, remap makes it completely different as well. However, the 320d has better kit so that'd be my choice and then maybe a remap if you need it. In my experience unless driven like a granny the fuel consumption won't be a huge amount difference (unless the 320d as bad as some of 55 plate ish models with mid 30's) and as someone has already put, a remap will help it anyway. You also won't get the start/stop function which gets right on my tits!

Go for the 320d unless you really must have the better economy. |

Not quite sure I understand the question, but then faced with a choice of 2 cars I'd always choose the quickest. |

You can turn it off! both of these would probably have it anyway as they swapped I believe in Sept '07, mines a Dec 07 car with stop start. 320d all the way 177bhp and a 46mpg average cannot be sniffed at, especially with leather.
