If you plan on leaving it in the stock form as a daily driver, the Mazda may be better since you have more money for mods (tires/wheels, etc). The 335i has a fuel pump issue that may ruin a few track weekends for you. It also has a heat soak issue when tracking that will induce a limp home mode.
If you care about luxury in your DD, The BMW will obviously be more better If you want to make it a track beast, look at this thread. (The ALMS M3 and customer racing M3 is another example of how you can drop weight short of acid dipping the panels) Consider the Tracking section of the forum for more help. Either way, I have seen a few 335's at the track. longodj is a member on the forum who tracks his 335 and may be a good reference as well. |
