Have just driven 120miles from home to the airport this morning and the Intake Air Temperature was no more than 2-8C warmer than the 13C ambient. This must be measuring the intake air temp (as it says) somewhere around the airbox or MAF.

I got an email back from Auterra support this morning stating that a lot of additional parameters, like charge temp and catalyst temp were added to the OBD spec in '07, so they won't be available from my '05 car unless I get a CIP software update I guess.

Don't know what's going on - i lost IAT & don't know what i saw in the past
My car has been evolve'd this week and goes beyond believe in 3rd/4th gear accelerations. In addition my efficient dynamics alternator control started working again. On the dashdyno (line plot) i can now see it works as advertised- it hasn't at all in the last 12 month or so. Fuel economy is up by 10% - wow.

IAT is gone though. I now get the same as you guys, 2-3 degrees over ambient no matter what I do. I disconnected the temp sensor on the pipe from intercooler to engine, and still get the same readings! I'm baffled as to what i read in the past, and what I see now. I can only find 3 sensors: boost on the inlet manifold, temp (the one i disconnected), and MAF after the airfilter. I can still read MAF and MAP with the disconnected temp. sensor. Anyone knows how this works? Does a MAF provide temperature signal too?

Following the remap I wanted to see how improved airflow thru the intercooler affects IAT. I'm now driving for 300+mls without fan and fanshroud (the whole thing is in trunk in case i get a high coolant alarm - 2 minute job to put it back..) without issues. Coolant runs at peaks 2-3F higher, that's all. The fan shroud blocks like 50% of free flow thru the intercooler core (on E92 320d). But now i don't have IAT I can't measure/plot this. What is the OBD air intake temp reading??
