could you get the oem hood and cut holes in it to look like the VRS hood? do you guys think that would work? would it be expensive? is it a good idea?

it'd look weird because you wouldn't be able to get the bulge

you don't think you could cut it in a certain way or something so that it could look like it or look close to it? or a way to open up the hood to let some of that heat out and give it a different look that will look good?

find a shop that could do something like that.
it sounds like a good idea tho! you may start a new trend if it turns out well. my friend with a s2k did it and turned out really nice.

I think it will cost close to just getting a Vorsteiner vented hood.

Simply cutting holes in the hood would not look good at all. I would get the vents made in fiberglass or carbon fiber and get them molded into the stock hood. Might be worthwhile if you DIY. I'd imagine the labor charges would be high if you got someone to do it for you.

I think the $ would be worth it if you design it yourself... cause then you have some really unique that no one can really copy....
and if the design is great enough, it might get picked up by sponsor, who knows heh |

Call a respected hot rod shop in your area. They could probably luver the hood for you. It would look good if you did a 3 to 4 inch strip on either side of the hood. Do it. Be a trend setter not a mindless follower. If you have to wait till someone does it first what's the fun in that?

Hartage V10 5.0 hood a bit extreme don't you think? Having the hood louvered by a professional shop is probably your best bet if you aren't skilled with fabrication. I'd love to see something unique but only if its done right.
