I have off today and have some free time, so i was gonna get some Sunoco GT100 for next week, i am getting about 6 gallons of it and storing it in a red palstic gas container.
From what i was reading, i need to keep it tightly sealed, and in a cool/shady area.

Is it worth it? will i lose much octane points from a 1 week storage? Never really stored race gas prior to this. just wanted to get a idea/experience/thoughts.

Found this:

The dark-colored jugs are better than the clear jugs. If you can see the level of gasoline in the jugs, then you don’t want to store it in them for very long. If worse comes to worse and the white jugs are all you have, put a blanket over them to shield them from the light.
