Jb question.

Im interested in getting the Jb+ as most members seam happy with the results. Now I know the the JB3 is FUCKING FASTTTT, but I would only be able to run it on 93 gas tops, That would limit me from using some maps. What maps would I be using, and would it be substantially faster than jb+ ?

I have a JB+ turned all the way up and its pretty amazing, I think the JB3 would be a bit quicker though

It's plug and play. You plug it into the tmap sensor under the airbox and you're done. With some practice you can install/remove it in a minute. Add a DCI and its few seconds.

Just be careful when installing and uninstalling it that you don't break the t-map clip.

I already bought a jb+ from the gentleman above me, but im still curious as the jb3 pin out is only 70 dollars more, But it seems that with 93 octane I wouldnt be able to run most maps. Whats the fastest map i can run with 93 octane compared to the jb+

93 octane with no supporting mods would get you map 3. People go higher, but supporting mods are recommended for the long run.

well, if you are stuck on 91 like I am, map 3 only... some run higher... but...

but with 93, if i remember correctly, up to mat 5 is fine.

of course, DPs, FMIC, etc help

JB+ is fine on 91

with 93, you will get more out of it

I haven't run the JB+ but according to Burger the JB3 would be faster on the same octane as it has more inputs and more control.

Lots of people like myself run 93 octane with the JB3 and it's plenty fast, believe me. I run map 5 in the summer without issue and now that it's fall in new england, map 7 is no problem. No limps, no codes. It just rips (I need DCIs!)

If you want warp speed you can do mods and racegas and run some of those higher maps, but maps 4-7 are fast. You can run 12s on a 1/4mi and that will smoke a lot of cars.

IMO the JB3 pinout is great but if you have to pull it off and put it back on now and then, it's worth considering the true plug and play harness (which you could always buy later as an upgrade).

Hook up the JB+ and have fun. That's its biggest draw it seems: noticably fast and no hassles. Need to visit the dealer? No prob. It comes off in a minute. Enjoy it!
