HPFP Failing. I think, or something worse??
Well on my way home from a funeral today.. on the on ramp, while driving at 80km/h (~45mph) I trided to get up to highway speed and the engine starts shuddering and missing, no power. I coast at 1700rpm till the merge.. and slowly try to accel to 60mph.. nothing but engine shuddering, at above 2000-2200 rpm and very little power. I made it home.. 4-5 miles on the highway babying it at 50mph. then trying to leave stop signs it wants to stall, and if I come to a complete stop it idles and almost stalls around 500rpm. I just got it home, now it barely moves under it's own power.. In neutral it will rev up but not smoothly and make odd sounds like gargles and hiccups.
Funny though.. no CEL. Does this sound like a HPFP failiure... or should I be prepared for worse. I have no warrantee... (salvage title) Any hooo.. thats my stressed out explanation.... now I have to send it to BMW.. or should I just order the part from Tisher and do it without finding out for sure??

Before you do anything, have someone knowledgeable with a BT scan tool take a look. They should be able to tell you what's failing or at least narrow it down, even without any CEL. Chances are your HPFP failed but it could also be injectors or something else. BMW will take your cash even if they don't know what's wrong.

Well Guys.. the fun begins... Final Verdict???
HPFP = 1 E90mtl = 0 wow. fk my life. 1162$, but now the dealer here is giving me a 2 year guarantee on PARTS & LABOUR. so if my hpfp fails in the next 2 years.. I'm good. I wish AMS had finished their R&D last week. I would have bought it for sure... actually I would've called them crying and run to them waving my cash in hand.. screaming "oouuu me..me, me, me, me.."
