linea corse lemans/bbs lm question..

Im a wheel noob and i love the look of these wheels. I would LOVE to get a set of authentic BBS LM's but their way out of my price range at the moment. I'm just wondering if the design of the linea corse lemans wheels is the exact same as the LM? They look almost identical.. im just assuming the BBS has way better build quality and is a lot lighter. Are there any other LM reps out there?

Any feedback on these wheels on an e92?

My advice,

buy used real BBS LM's.

I have the Lemans and they are identical. The only difference is, the real bbs has more staggered lip in the rear and in the front. Also the weight difference, the real BBS Lm's weight around 24 lbs without tires.

best LM reps are Linea Corse brotha! This was on my mind as well when i was trying to purchase a set of LM Reps and when i really took the time to compare all the reps to the real LM's the Linea Corse were the most identical aside from the small engravement on the face of the real bbs wheels and that the real bbs are more staggered.

Unless you have $6K to spare...get reps. I regret dropping that much money on wheels. Ill def. pick up some LC LM's next if anything.

Zoeb from Wheeldude told me that the LM rep. weight 23lb front and 26lb in the rear.

I understand

But read my post again, I said the real LM's weigh around 24 lbs each.

linea corse lemans are great. yeah, they arent BBS LM's but that's why they are reps. they're for those who love the look but jsut cant throw that much out for a real set. as for durability of the LC reps, i havent heard of any problems and from zoeb, the quality is spot on. a handful of users here have them. hopefully they will be able to chime in with more info for you!

Linea Corse's quality is great. Thus far, I've put over 10,000 miles on mine and I drive on some pretty bad roads everyday without any issues (*knock on wood). I used to own some pretty expensive wheels and, as far as quality goes, I have not seen/felt any differences.

sorry, but the quality of the LC are not that good. I have dented one on a pothole (it wasnt a very big pothole) and i have a lot of chipping on the rear lip and the clear coat comes off.... and that after 6 months!

for the price, the quality is ok, but is not like BBS.

(my brother have Rial Daytona Race on his E46 M3 about 2 years now and havnt any issue. no chippig, no nothing! and this set is under $3000!!!)

I have the linea corse lm's and love them. I've driven 5k miles on some tough roads up in hoboken/nyc and haven't had an issue. They aren't the same as the genuine bbs but my car is a daily driver and i would hate myself if i bent a real bbs wheel. I had a set of volks on my 350 z and bent them in a half a year, all that money out the window. You could buy 2 sets of LC lemans for the price of the real ones! I put bmw center caps in them and get tons of compliments on a weekly basis.

I agree the clear coat chips but i think its bc i drive a lot of highways, my old volks chipped as well on my Z. I don't think it can be avoided.
