I tried it but I quit. Dont bother with it, get the OEM stuff. Its a pita to get around the rear bend in the trim. I tried and tried and tried then said screw this.

I had it done by a pro specializing in tint, some vinyl. I tried it before but f'ed it up...
My basic DIY: Clean and prep with alcohol Make a stencil out of paper tracing the outlines. trim the vinyl to stencil proceed to install using a sqeegee and hair dryer work smooth tuck and trim edges

I bought the pre cut trim from brandon@eas. Fucked up the first piece and called it quits.

I got the roll from karbonwekre and It ended up looking pretty good. Not flawless, especially on the first side I did, but if you are patient enough you can eventually get it around the bend at the back. I ended up holding it up and cutting roughly the length I needed, then cutting it in half lengthwise and sticking it on. Then I used a credit card to tuck the edges in under the trim (so that there was still extra excess that went down into the crevice) and then carefully running an 11 blade through the crevice to cut off the excess. I spent an afternoon on each side.

daaaaamn ... sounds ridiculous to do ... ill try it anyway ... i fail cuz i bought the vinyl before i started this thread lol ... is it any cheaper from eas or sticker city if i give them the vinyl to use?? ... and of the guys that did manage to get around the bends how did you keep it from folding and keep it flat against the trim?

Like I said earlier, its an fing pain the ass. I might just try it again because now that I matte grey rims, that chrome trim needs to go. From Tisher its around $1k for the trim and then you still have to install it. I never figured out how to get the long piece off.
