Heres the story, I have a 09 335i coupe got it april 09, I leased the car it was new. The car now has 11k miles on. The check engine malfuction light has gone off three times already and today was the 4th time. first two times they changed a knock sensor and said I was good to go, third time had a engineer from bmw look at it, he said to clean up the carbon build up, they did that now about 700 miles later light goes off again. what does the buy back plan offer if i leased the car, and is there any incentives say if i want to get an m3 or another model. or anything i should go in and ask for/demand before i talk to service manager. any help would be greatly appreciedted.

After the same problem happens 3 times and the dealership still cant fix it, then you can lemon your car.

Go to general forums and search for threads were other owners lemoned their cars. This process isn't as simple as 1,2,3 so I really suggest you do a lot of research.

If you want to get a more expensive model you pay the difference in the lease price.
