i have long cranks every other week..but i havent really looked into it since its so rare now..maybe i should soon..and also has anybody experienced a weird "popping sound" from the engine before? sometimes with startup, i hear a popping sound similiar to crushing a plastic bottle. weird! No point in going to the dealer yet. Long cranks happen sometimes. If you do not have a limp mode (Reduced Power/Engine Malfunction message in iDrive and a half engine light in the instrument cluster, along with a CEL) your dealer will not do anything to replace the HPFP.

As far as dealer, they all suck (for the most part). DO NOT go to Life Quality, not even if your car craps out down the block from the service shop. I would say either go to Rallye BMW or Paul Miller in NJ.

I am on my 3rd HPFP btw and am waiting for my 2nd 335. I love this car

GL with that man...at least you have a very pleasant attitude about it. Hopefully the long cranks were just a fluke.

BTW, what service station do you use?

I should have the car sometime within the next 2/3 weeks, presuming everything goes OK @ customs.
