I have been running map5 JB3 1.3 with only 93 octane without any problem on my e93 for about 3 months and never had any problem so far (knock on wood )

i would agree with you as well but im not talking about long track races im talking about quick sprints of the car. i bet 1 in 15 of people on this forum even bother beating there cars up that bad in doing lap races.

EDIT: saw your LOAD reference - but is less than 400 pounds really gonna make a difference ?
ya load makes a difference since more weight is harder to move and the engine has to work harder so load is increased. If you reduce weight then the motor has far less stress on it. Think of a truck towing a boat. In most cases that is when trucks lose a transmission or motor because of all that weight putting tremendous load on the driveline. My friend is a truck mechanic and he tells me how most of the blown motors and transmission happen when towing. If you are pulling a hill that also puts more load on the car. In my last car I would datalog and see when on level ground the load hit right where it was supposed to but when going up a hill at WOT the load would increase and sometimes I would hear pre-ignition.
