Need help with trunk/spoiler...
I had a Hartge spoiler on, it was warping and I wanted to replace it with an OEM M3 spoiler. When we removed the Hartge spoiler we found that the trunk lid underneath was primed with some black paint or some crap (by our BMW dealer in Germany). I was told by the local paint place here that they can't paint just the trunk, they have to blend the color to the rear, is this true? If so I am looking for a spoiler (possibly Vorsteiner boot lid or others) that would cover up the mess and not require me painting anything more than the spoiler, any options out there? Thanks.

That is true, most body shops will blend the paint to the rear quarter panels as your paint will fade over time. Your best option is really to paint the entire trunk or purchase the Vorsteiner Decklid Add On to cover up that spot.
