Damn amber reflectors!!!!
hay guys iam speaking for all the e90 pre lci guys out their that agree wth me ........Is their a better way to make these amber reflectors in the headlights less visable without making the car look tacky,,,,
Amber gones look very tacky and those painted overlays just look stupid can someone brainstorm with me and maybe we could get something in production here Iam willing to spend $20-100 .....and dont nobody come at me with euro headlights because i just find it stupid to give enough money to pay 2 of my car payments on headlights.

for 20$ you're looking at pep boys or autozone fix its... that would be even more tacky than ambergones. (which if done right can look decent, better than having so much amber at least)
otherwise you have to take out the amber from inside or modify headlight in another way.. and either way that is not gonna be cheap. Too much for labor costs and such, plus you don't want to get your headlights all screwed up from cheap fix its... just my opinion |

How about instead of heating the housing up and prying apart, has anybody tried to saw through with an ultrathin dremmel bit or ultrathin tile saw?

OP, for your price range and not really wanting to take apart the light, I don't think you're going to find much better than an overlay method, which imo always looks at least a bit tacky, though I can see the price difference making it worth it for some.

MDS82 makes CF overlays i think. Requires the headlights to be opened up.
