Does anyone on here know. This is the phone I would like to switch over to bet it is still not on BMW's compatible list (thru Verizon) that is.

I've had a Curve working fine since early '08 via BT, if you search you'll find other threads where people are using BB Curve with no issues. Bold and Storm integration is flawless too (went back to Bold after trying the Storm though). |

Works absolutely perfect in all respects.
I have a Blackberry Curver 8330 via Verizon and it works perfect and pairs instantly via bluetooth and transfers the entire phone list. I also just got the tray for it for the smartphone adapter so it can charge and use the sharkfin antenna.

I have the 8330 as well through verizon and no problems to speak of.
I also wish BMW would work a little harder in preparing a better list of approved phones. BMW has always had a rather limited list of pairable phones. |

Awesome...I can't wait to go down to Verizon & switch over to the 8330 then I had no idea that it would work perfectly to our cars. Guess BMW has to finally update their website

Just to be clear, BMW does NOT make a "smartphone adapter" for the Curve. BMW offers two kinds of phone adapters - those for "dumbphones" and those for "smartphones." The dumbphone adapter lets you use the sharkfin and charge the phone. The smartphone adapter lets you use the sharkfin, charger the phone, and access music stored on the phone. BMW makes dumbphone adapters for lots of phones, including two Blackberry phones (Curve and Pearl). They make smartphone adapters for a grand total of one phone: Iphone.

I read in some places that it might have been the 4.1 OS update on the curves. Now that I think about it, I never tried it after the software update until now. So freaking happy now!!! |

I initially had a lot of trouble with my Verizon LG Dare and my '06 e90 non-idrive, I tried all software updates etc with no luck. I eventually got Verizon to replace my phone and then it worked fine, technology can be so frustrating!
