People run through the pit entry at Interlagos all the time yet the stewards don't say "that's off the line." Racing like this happens all the time... in F1 drivers give each other the finger or wave their hands at each other all the time; this isn't any different. I'm not a Corvette apologist; I cheer for both teams although I liken Corvette to be "America's Team," especially at Le Mans. Another edit: my opinions come from remembering what I saw on Sunday. Upon second look (and the post for Lou Gigliotti or whatever of LG Racing in the racing forum)... there were some pretty cheap shots by Jan. I hope they really aren't the "dirty racers" they have been labeled. It's nice to be aggro but not that far.

I have never been to interlagos, so I can't comment on that, however, there are different accepted practices at each track, and this was clearly BS for Laguna.
I agree with you to a point with F1, seems like no one can make a pass in that sport sometimes, but having been to the German F1 in person, it was still awesome! And sadly, no. NASCAR is not racing. I hope no one really takes offense, but its the single most boring thing I can think of with sponsors pumping millions of dollars into it trying to create excitement. "Oh look, the went left again...." Yawn. |
