Another Dinan Stage II drag time...

Took my Dinan Stage II 2008 E92 coupe to the track for the first time. My best launch was DTC off and launching at 1800 rpm M1 and mashing the peddle.

Stock bridgestone runflats, left the pressure alone (set to recommended settings per the inside door panel)

.4710.....R/T
2.0380...60 ft
5.6369...330 ft
8.5880...1/8 ET
84.12....1/8 MPH

I have no idea how close I am to 12 seconds in the 1/4. I am assuming this would translate to 13.01 1/4.

Dinan Stage II is the only mod I have at this point. I am having the AE quad catless exhaust and AR catted downpipes installed this week. I am hoping after adding those mods I will be in the 12's once I make it down to the 1/4 mile track.

No idea what to expect ET/MPH wise once I add the downpipes/exhaust.

I am not a drag guy..but a 60ft time of over 2.0 isnt stellar. I use to get 1.8 with my slightly modded Audi S4 Avant...when I competed in regional SCCA autox events.

I dont know if its just me..but an 1/8 drag just seems like getting to first base on a date.

its just you. The only difference is shifting into 4th. Regardless of gear, there is no money shot.

launching the n54 is just too difficult. That's why I'm focusing on easier stuff... road courses.

its not just him, the 1/8 is much less fun than the 1/4..........the big end of the strip is where your car really starts to stretch its legs whic is what I prefer.

however your et is decided in the 1st 60 ft.

2.0 60 ft isn't bad on a rwd street car, anything below that would be very good considering you are on the factory tires. 1.8 60 foots are easy on awd cars because of the traction advantage.

Judging from the 1/4 mile times my old '93 honda used to pull (almost the exact same 1/8th mile as that), I'd say you are in the very low 13 second range right now, so your calcs seem accurate.

There is room for improvement but i'm happy with it considering I was running stock tires and factory recommended PSI. Most of the timeslips in the turbo forum are 2.1 - 2.2 range for 60 ft.

If I can get my 60 down to 1.9 I am sure I will be in the 12s.

yes u will be most likely

I pulled a 1.89 60 ft w a manual and the stock RFT's in 2007. trap speed was only 108 but I still hit a 12.8 w that.

I did a couple drags last year (first 3 ever) have full bolt on except dp 275 rear potenzas and dinan stg II. Best I got was 12.7 @ 109. I know I can ezily get it down to 12.5 if I had my best reaction time that day

60' times get you lower ETs butlower reaction times does not affect ET. Please don't confuse the two. Lower reaction times could help you win races against another person but your ET would not improve.

with additional bolt-ons adding a few hp here and there 12s should be easily attainable for your StgII 335i.
