Did BMW leather protect kit...seats are slippery but dont look glossy??
Is this normal? First time for me to use leather protectant, of this kind anyways on actual leather. In my old car I had leatherette and just used the armor all wipes and it was glossy and greasy and slippery. This doesnt look glossy, added a *bit* of a shine to the seats (I have had the car since March and just hadn't done it, the original owner had it detailed every other month) but it hasnt been done by me yet.
Should I go over it again and put another coat? I know Zaino and what not are out there but I bought the BMW one when I first got the car because I had to take it in for its 15k service. Will another coat hurt? Just a bit of shine is normal right? Sorry for the newb questions but this is a first time for me on this. Thanks. |

Usually shiny leather is the sign of it being dirty, clean leather should not be shiny or slippery but instead it should be a matte finish, so it sounds to me like you have nothing to worry about and that your seats are as clean as they should be. Take a look at a new car's leather, you will see that the leather is soft and matte.
