Performance Driving Center Delivery
For those that have done the PDC delivery how soon into the production schedule did you get a pickup date? I was reading something that the BMW dealer gave me and it said you have to schedule a minium of 56 business of status 112. My car is at the port waiting to be shipped to SC. Should I have gotten some dates to choose from by now?

Anyone know what the cancellation policy is for the PDC? I don't want to wait another 2 months to get my car that'll probably be here in less than 3 weeks. Unless that 56 business day policy can be bent a bit I just assume have it delivered to the dealer.

PDC is really worth doing and if you've already figured out how to fit that in your sked, stay with it... |

I'd like to stick with it but I should have gotten some info as far as scheduling a delievery. The fact that my CA is slacking and hasn't called me about it yet kind of scares me. I just don't want the car to be sitting there because they forget to schedule me. I'd much rather be driving it!

Talk to the sales manager,he can get you in sooner if they have an available date.but make the calll tomorrow.....it's worth going, I did and it was a lot of fun, even though it was only for a day,but the Hotel that you stay at is very nice and you get a great dinner and breakfast for two and you can probablt tour the manufacturing when your done at the PC

DO IT!!!! I had a ball down there. Plus, the factory tours are starting up again, so you'll get to see the new X5 assembly line.
You definitely shoulda gotten a date by now, but sense its so close to delivery time, have a list of dates that you can do, and be flexible. They only do so many per day, so you need to do it ASAP. If you feel you can't get anything done with your CA, then PM me, and I'll give you the name of some people down at the PDC that can help you out (they help tremendously as my dealer initially screwed up my PC delivery). |

My car is in the Courage and expected to arrive in SC on the 24th of Dec. My CA gave me a date on the 19th of January for Performance Delivery. He told me that I can get it a week early if I cancel the PD but he highly recommend to attend it. My only concern is the drive back here in Ohio. Hoping that the weather cooperates. The car is fitted with a summer performance tire and it will be ill advised to drive it during winter.

Now, I'm not sure how you would get your sport wheels back to Ohio, but maybe you can arrange UPS delivery? This exact scenario is why I chose to take delivery in Nov, and not Dec/Jan when weather can be a factor. Good luck! |

I need a PCD date as well... The week 51 cars are already crossing the Atlantic as my week 50 sits alone in the Cold in Bremerhaven... |
