update on windshield replace

ok so im goin to get new windshield thru Safelite thru insurance...i wanted the OEM but state farm declined it..i wouldve have to pay 500 the difference between aftermarket value and OEM value with insurance claim..so im goin with the aftermarket windshield...and it lifetime warranty

damn ed... that sucks...i got oem glass but i have allstate... im sure u will be fine with aftermarket windshield.... got mine replaced at safelite... but back when it was diamond auto glass still

if i had done the OEM glass i wouldve had to pay 500, i could use that money wisely :\ on other important things..state farm is cheap pos!

In MA you don't need to deal with the ins. co. at all. I just had mine replaced w/OEM (it even has the BMW logo on it) by calling the installer and insisting on it. The installer (Ocean Glass in this case) had no problem with that. They picked the windshield up at the dealer on the way to my house and replaced it in my driveway.

i would have prefer the oem windshield since i was doing glass claim...
yea the differ is the bmw logo..but everything else should be the same
i just wish i dont run into problems

Safelite is a rip off I only paid $450 for OEM Glass from SunGlow and Safelite wanted $800.

update: good news is that i got new windshield installed today..and its OEM!! i didnt come out of pocket..the guys at Safelite did a good job and they decided to give me the OEM glass ..so i check..there it was the BMW logo at the bottom corner driver side
