Anyone know what brand and model lights for the E90 rear turn signals that are white/clear when off and yellow when there on?

i beleive you are looking for solaris invisibulbs...try jlevisw.com, ask them what size the rears are, i forgot,

Does this actually work with the stock rear lights (with red lenses)? Can you just replace the stock bulb and get the turn signal to flash yellow, despite the red lens? (I know about the blacklines and the euro tail lights as ways to get rear turn signals that flash yellow... but if you can get this result merely be changing the bulb, that would be even easier, and cheaper.)

Eh.. i don't think you can do it if you still have the stock taillights, which have the red cover. if you get blacklines, they already blink yellow/orange.
