Good to hear they've finally sorted out your issues. But 4 months off the road is way way over the top for any manufacturer to sort out problems let alone BMW!
I'm waiting for the next 5 series sedan hopefully with a twin turbo model. But am getting second thoughts now...

I asked for a 2-year extension to new car warranty but they did not have enough faith in their product to honour that. Pity, because they really need to pull a finger out to lift their profile amongst genuine BMW owners or risk mass desertion to competitors as well as bad publicity

I would request for 2 years extended warrenty too if it happened to me which i think is completely reasonable. But sound like ur stealership do no have confident in their work

Do u know if u can extend ur 12 month warrenty even more afterwards? I would invest in that just in case if available. Unless u want to sell the car soon and let some other person worry about it.
