Head lights

My 3rd issue with the car...
I notice on rough roads the lights vibrate/shake alot more than usual, almost like the bulb is lose or something in the housing. when u look at it physically everything does seem fine...i know there is a service bulletin on this but that doesnt seem to cover e90? e92 and e93 only?
does anyone else experience this?
thanks
Z

you will find its normal for HID's to emit a slight "wobble" when going over lumps, this is perfectly normal (every car I have had with HID's (OEM & AM) have the same trait.

This is of course presuming you have the Innovations kit on your 320?

Yea, shouldn't be able to see it move. Bi-Xenon with Adaptive headlight tend to move slightly when u hit a big bump but halogen shouldn't

U can try and fiddle with the headlight ur self. See if it is the who headlight that is moving or is it the bulb in side. If it is the bulb, u can the just put the spring back in place. If it is the headlight that is loose, u might need to get some parts from parts department to try and secure it. It could be something simple but if u dont fell confident, let someone else do it.

If u have a good relationship with the dealership, sometimes u can ask nicely for them to fix as a good will thing since headlight usaually never plays up therefore could be manufacture fault. Worth a try anyway.

Good luck.

Thanks Sam

just spoke to trivett and they said they can have a look for me if the globes are not lose etc if i run by their place next week, she said to ask for Scott there.

anyway, is it best to access the globes from the engine bay or i should go as per booklet and through wheel arch method (or no need for that)?

thanks again for being so helpful
u guys are awesome
