I didn't, I stole it from Bimmerfest. It was in a compass discussion thread.

What it does offer is an easy way to add dyno proven HP and TQ in a unit that can be easily removed before going to a dealer. I have yet to hear Shiv make claims about long term reliability..simply because the product is new. There have been plenty of individuals who have replicated the HP and Tq claims.

Just remember aftermarket parts dont automatically void a warranty. Read over the Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act of 1975.
I wasn't referring to the fact that it affects your warranty. Most are at the mercy of their BMW servicing dealer for warranty claim validity regarding mods anyway. I was referring to the Xede being considered "safer" than accurately tuning the MSD80 DME (which also has the ability to switch between multiple programmable fuel octane maps internally on its own).

Regardless, the 335i is going to be a hot bed for all the tuners if they dare to play. In time, it will be a great market for all 335i owners to be in with many choices. Kudos to Shiv for getting into it right from the very beginning. The future will be very interesting indeed.
